From 2000 raws to the ones you’ll send.

A free culling and develop suite for macOS. Apple’s latest raw decoder, Neural Engine denoise, curves, crop and Vision aesthetic scoring, all of it on your own machine, over your own folders. No catalogue, no import, no account.

The Photopipe browse grid, a shoot sorted by Instinct score

Develop

A real edit, not a preview.

Every adjustment runs through Apple's raw pipeline at full precision and is written back as XMP. Warm re-renders land in 32 ms on a 33 MP ARW, so a slider moves the photo, not a progress bar.

  • Exposure

    Written as Lightroom's own crs:Exposure2012.

  • Highlights · Shadows

Recovery either end of the range.

  • Temp · Tint

True Kelvin on raw, incremental elsewhere.

  • Denoise

RAW 9 demosaics and denoises in one model, on the Neural Engine.

  • Vibrance · Saturation

Two separate controls, as they should be.

  • Curves

RGB plus a red, green and blue channel each.

  • Crop, straighten, rotate

Live angle, non-destructive, zoom to 1:1 to check focus.

  • ⌘C / ⌘V

Copy a look from one photo, paste it onto the whole selection.

Instinct

The first pass is already done.

A background pass scores every frame with Apple's Vision aesthetics model, on your Mac, straight from the raw. Nothing is uploaded and no account exists to upload it to. The result is one number from 0 to 100 that means the same thing in every project: sort by Instinct and the shoot arrives roughly in the order you would have put it in.

The rest of it

Everything else the job needs.

Your folders are the truth
No catalogue, no import step. Photopipe watches the folder with FSEvents, so a file you move in Finder moves in the app. The index is a rebuildable cache, never a source of truth.
Ratings that travel
Stars, tone, colour, curves and crop go out as XMP: a sidecar beside a raw, embedded in a DNG. Lightroom and Capture One read the same decisions.
Histogram as filter
Six bars, a count each. Click one to narrow, refine with ≥ = ≤ ∅. One control answers "how far am I" and "show me the keepers".
Export that renders
Originals byte-for-byte, or full-resolution JPEG with every edit baked in at quality 90 or 100. Folder or zip, flat or mirrored, never a silent overwrite.
Jobs, not toasts
Exports run in the drawer's activity list: running, done with a reveal button, or failed with the error still on screen four minutes later.
Native and self-contained
A Swift core doing every pixel, in one bundle with the raw pipeline inside. Nothing else to install, and it offers its own updates without ever asking who you are.

Your next shoot is waiting.
